Identify and merge duplicate ad creatives using fingerprint matching.

The purpose of this page is to detect duplicative ads. The system compares the fingerprint of new creatives against existing active creatives — if a new creative has a similar fingerprint to an existing one, the new creative appears in the left column and the possible duplicate matches appear in the right column.


How to Use

  1. Select a Start Date and End Date.
  2. Optionally apply additional filters: Language, US/CA, Audio/Video, Exclude Promo, Exclude Billboard, Exclude Broadcast Errors.
  3. Click Search to load results.
  4. Click Load Matches on a record to see suggested duplicate matches in the middle column.
  5. Click the play button on a match to play both the original ad and the match simultaneously — this lets you compare the audio directly.
  6. Sync the audio manually using the play/pause button if the timing is slightly off.

Merging Duplicates

If the two audios are an exact match, use one of the two merge buttons to remove the duplicate:

  • Right merge (>) — merges the left ad (newer) into the right ad (older). This is the default rule of thumb, as merging the newest into the oldest has the least impact on existing client reports.
  • Left merge (<) — merges the right ad into the left ad. Use this if the left ad has noticeably better audio quality than the right.

If the ads are not a match, click the Ignore button in the far right column to remove the record from the report entirely.
