How to Categorize

Follow this three-step process for every product:

1. Class — always Apparel, Accessories, Jewelry for every product in this department.
2. Category — the broad product type: Women's Clothing, Men's Clothing, Children's Clothing, Babies' Clothing, Unisex Clothing, Footwear, Accessories, or Jewelry & Watches.
3. Subcategory — the specific product type. For clothing, identify the garment type (e.g. Tops, Boots, Bags & Wallets). For footwear and accessories, identify the product type and note the gender or age segment within the description.

Categories at a Glance

Women's Clothing

Covers all garments worn on the body by adult women (18+). Select the subcategory that matches the garment type.

Men's Clothing

Covers all garments worn on the body by adult men (18+). Select the subcategory that matches the garment type.

---

Children's Clothing

Covers all garments for children of all genders aged approximately 2–14. This category combines what were previously separate Girls' and Boys' clothing categories.

Babies' Clothing

Covers garments for infants and toddlers aged 0–24 months. Products use baby sizing (0-3M, 6M, 12M, 18M, 2T). Use the Apparel class for baby clothing — not the Baby Care class.

Unisex Clothing

Covers garments explicitly designed and sized to fit all adult genders. Use this category only when the product is marketed as unisex — if a garment targets a specific gender, use Women's Clothing or Men's Clothing instead.

Footwear

Covers all shoes, boots, sandals, slippers, and related products. Identify the gender or age segment first, then determine the subcategory based on the shoe's primary purpose and style.

Accessories

Covers wearable items that complement clothing but are not garments or footwear. Identify the gender or age segment first, then choose the subcategory by the type of accessory.

Luggage & Travel Bags

Use this category when the advertisement promotes bags or cases designed for travel and carrying personal belongings on trips.

---

Jewelry & Watches

Covers all jewelry pieces, timepieces, and storage products. Assign the gender or age segment first (Women's, Men's, Children's, or Unisex), then choose the subcategory by type.

---

Apparel Corporate Promotion

Use this category when the advertisement promotes an apparel brand or retailer broadly without focusing on a specific product type or category.
